DROMEC supplied two electric anchor winches with chain stoppers and two electric mooring winches for the MV Hagland Polaris under Bureau Veritas class.

This delivery supports safe, reliable and well-integrated performance within the vessel design developed by Royal Bodewes.

For the MV Hagland Polaris, DROMEC once again supplied high-quality winches to shipbuilder Royal Bodewes. The vessel is the first in a series of four for Hagland Shipping AS in Haugesund, Norway.

The delivery includes two electric anchor winches for 36 mm chain, complete with matching chain stoppers, and two electric mooring winches rated at 50 kN. Delivered under Bureau Veritas class, these winch systems match the technical requirements of this vessel design.

Future-oriented vessel development

The MV Hagland Polaris (NB 850) has now started its sea trials. During this phase, the hybrid electric system is also being commissioned, highlighting the forward-looking character of the project.
