Four anchor winches for KWTrans multicat Destiny

DROMEC has supplied four wire anchor winches for the Destiny, a hybrid multicat vessel operated by KWTrans. This multifunctional work vessel is designed to operate in challenging conditions where water levels can vary significantly and flexibility is essential. The winches were supplied under Bureau Veritas (BV) class.

Multifunctional Multicat

The Destiny is equipped with crawler tracks on the underside, enabling the vessel to operate at both high and low water levels and even to move onto land. Combined with the onboard crane, this makes the vessel particularly suitable for operations in shallow waters, river areas, and coastal zones—locations where traditional vessels often reach their limits.

Anchor Winches

For this vessel, DROMEC supplied four hydraulically driven anchor winches, each suitable for an anchor weight of 300 kg. The winches contribute to safe and reliable positioning of the vessel, even under changing conditions.

Hybrid Propulsion

Thanks to the spacious working deck and powerful crane, the multicat can be deployed as a push boat, tugboat, or work vessel, and provides support for dredging and construction projects. The hybrid propulsion system enables CO₂ emissions to be reduced to zero, making the Destiny a future-proof solution for projects with strict environmental requirements.
